i'm offering 4 cigar box paintings below on ebay this week. my cigar box paintings are not exactly the stuff of joseph cornell, which i recently viewed at sf moma, but perhaps created in the same spirit: found objects, one ephemeral (the fruit; souvenirs from my trips to local farmers' markets) immortalized on old wood cigar boxes.

george lewandowski of resource for art in the san francisco design district, sold the abstract sketch above to one of his interior designer clients recently. he was pleasantly surprised, as it is an early exploration in abstraction. please visit george (& toby, his norwich terrier) to see more of my abstract work, which i'm now painting on cradled wood panels.

—and now it's cover art!
the small landscape painting below, purple trees magenta, will be on the cover of the next pacific art league class catalog. they wanted something with a "wintry feel;" it will be more so when they reproduce it in b/w or 2-color.
